For My Perfect Match
By George Irwin
When we sit here like this, together, arms and legs tangled, faces so close they become a love painting by Picasso, my lips can only smile. I lose myself in you, transcend flesh to become whole with you. The closer we are, the more right it feels, the more natural, like two halves guided back together to seal in a solid fit. You are the reason I believe in God, the reason why I trust absolutely in fate, believe there has to be something to reincarnation. You are the yin to my yang, I the darkness to your light. Love, as a word, cannot approach the feeling that sparks and vibrates between us. Together, we simply are.
