Caress Of Light
By Bobbi Sinha-Morey
With an unexpected
grace irises float like
small worlds in your
open eyes and, like
something winged,
our fingers meet,
holding in air. The
caress of light is on
your cheek. Time has
wrapped us in a cocoon
of peaceful silence and
as stars usher in the
night I love lying beside
you listening to you
sleep. How gently the
darkness opens while
we clasp our hearts
together and dream.
In the morning when
we waken touch me
while the glow of the
daystar is still above
us.
