Starry Skies
By Danny P. Barbare
Dark streets and light,
Life is filled with oak trees,
Branches sheltering
Lanes between cars through
Hope so narrow or wide in
Ways. Red lights that say wait
Till they turn to green, as if stop
Signs in life that say pause as
If to think, then out
Into the starry skies of
Happiness that shine
So bright it’ll last like love as
Eternal as the universe.
