Bluebird
By Danny P. Barbare
Why little bluebird do I love you so,
Is it that sweet song you chirp?
Do you love me too.
Your beauty I can’t escape
Such love you bring to my heart,
My imagination is wild and true
With your wings of blue.
You make my heart young in this
Emotional wood of mine.
Can we not be friends, creature of God.
For I have bled and bled sweet tears.
Perhaps just your sweet chirp is all I
Have to hear, to keep my heart dear.
