The reason why I love you,
Is because you gave me a heart.
My love grew for you, and that was just the start.
Me and you make a team; With you I’m complete.
Me and you together, we can never face defeat.
I miss the early mornings and late nights.
I even miss all the fussing and fights.
Young and sprung we thought this would go forever.
To part you? In my mind that was never.
Who knew that this would all end so quick.
Who know that this world could make you feel so sick.
The day you left me I was scarred for life.
I was mad at God, we were in a deep strife.
You disappeared so quick and so suddenly,
That it left my state of mind trapped in deep custody.
I realized how lucky I was to have you by my side,
And tears won’t bring you back, I know because I cried.
Someday soon I will visit you over there.
The time until then, my heart will be in repair.
I love you forever, and that I can promise,
I won’t forget the 13th of that late summer August.
