SHIVA
By Nicole Resnick
The bricks of my brow
veil my eyes.
Velcro laden chin
kissed by
Peruvian liquor.
Gray eyes
gray body
a peppered home,
the orange shiver of a
new season.
Cellophane walls
nestled in the pad(s)
of Hope.
You are a summer breeze,
a photograph of her.
She is not in this wine, she is in
the calloused fingers that paint this sad song.
