In You
By John Ogden
Dana,
The life which grows within you,
The creation, the spark
Nestled in your belly
Stirs living, stirs with the self
Stirs and stirs
Like stars in murky void,
As brilliant as your eyes,
As brilliant as the sun
We first kissed under
First worshiped as it rose
Rose and flowered against the blue
Against clouds
Rose and became us
Became you
And the life which grows
In you.

John Ogden was conceived of a government form and a passing mailbox. He lives somewhere out in the woods of a rural land more akin to the fantasy realms of literature than real life, and his favorite dirt bikes will always be the broken ones.
