After the Rain
By Samantha Seto

Looking towards the Earth and sky,
mist in the breeze circles the leaves,
past pores of ocean shores.

I am a fragrance,
with the spirits soaring in the wind,
to the end of the Earth,
always hidden from sight.

Among the breeze on an autumn day,
I move through fields of daffodils,
wander up and down small hills
as if I was a melody that you created for me.

Wandering, I tread grasses of meadows,
where the sunflowers nod “okay,”
amongst buttercups with golden dew,
lavender butterflies flutter away.

With frames of rocks on the sandy shore,
the sunset paints color across the sky.
I hear voices in the wind,
but rain clouds appear, vanished.

In dome of the air,
I stare at my reflection in a puddle,
my yellow rainboots leave muddy tracks,
as the rain arises to unbuild again.
