Cured

I was hurt and broken,
and you fixed me like a surgeon,
I was in need of a heart transplant,
and you gave me yours with your hands,
I needed something to survive,
and you came into my life,
resuscitated me with your love,
revived me and now I’m strong.

Every day, I have you by my side,
now I have hope for the first time,
I almost died of a broken heart,
but you cured me from the start.
Your laugh is the only medicine I need,
your smile is better than an I.V.,
your heart is beating next to mine,
you’re the love of my life!
