27 Seconds
By Rachel Manlimos
I feel sorry for those girls,
Those poor unfortunate souls,
That decided to give love a try,
And all you said was hello goodbye.
Stop saying you just don’t know,
That you are pushing me away,
Because I see right though you,
Don’t think you’re leading me astray.
You say I’m always to blame,
And you’re wasting all my time,
I’m beginning to lose my mind,
Don’t charge me for the crime.
Boy, you got me going crazy,
Goddamn, I should’ve known,
Your love is poison ivy,
I’m much better off alone.
Don’t look me in the eyes,
Because it’s time for me to fly,
I’m tired of being your victim,
This is goodnight and goodbye.
