Dear Best Friend,
By Bryla Thompson

Dear Best friend,
You took me in. You took me in with no regrets and no fear and I knew, I knew that all my flaws meant nothing to you. You knew me from inside and out and it took someone like you to understand and accept that I am crazy. But you’re crazy so it seems as if we belong like peanut butter and jelly on same slice of bread. We can argue one night but no matter how bad it got, I knew with all the life of me you’ll be there whenever I need you. You are the shoulder I cry on every time I need to vent and trust me even though I don’t thank you, I appreciate every little thing you have done for me. You are the angel on my left shoulder leading me to the right path while I’m on the right shoulder telling you to shut the FUCK up. But I know you won’t shut up, no matter how much I tell you too, and I love that part of you. I love those hour long funny stories, that aren’t really funny but you be busting up laughing, so it seems funny no matter how much I say I hate them. How can I ever forget those nights when we're on twitter or instagram putting people on blast because we think we're perfect. Sad part is, we're only perfect in each other's eyes. And when we lay next to each other holding hands, talking about every little thing we can think about while we slowly drifting to sleep and words barely being said, we always find the energy to tell each other I love you. And trust me meant our pinky promise, till death do us part.
