Proud Banner
By Paul Tristram

Hold tall once again
that proud banner of love,
for I am coming for you.
Like damn busting whisky,
like a thousand year old tree to the ground.
Like apricots to thirst.
Like the carnival to Eden.
Sense the truth in what I say.
Open up arms of gentle forever.
Let me slide inside like destiny.
Let us unwrinkle the years
with the knowing of our secret.
Stretch not imagination but reality.
For together we shall chart
new realms of ecstasy.
As one and with one
proud banner of our love.
