Poem Without Words
By Fred E. Beaulieu

you are my poem without words
cadence and rhythm too beautiful to be constrained by mere stanza and verse
fluid measures unbound by the rigid confines of the printed page
sweeping elegance too elusive to be captured by scribe’s quill
flowing streams of cascading rhymes faintly scented with hints of lavender

you are my poem without words
I long to explore the depths of your hidden meanings
immerse myself in your subtle imagery
and bask in the elation of your eternal message
as your raven tresses frame the fair borders of your sweet visage

you are my poem without words
when compared to the revered sonnets of the ages composed by sage poets,
none can approach your delicate and graceful eloquence
in your presence I stand breathless and awestruck
forever inspired by the timeless nature of your perfect prose

you are my poem without words
...let me read you again
