Lust
By DeShields Fajardo
The scent of cherry blossom as I walked by,
As I turned, we made contact eye to eye.
We had some sort of connection,
Small talk turning into a different direction.
You made me melt with that deceiving smile,
A soft kiss on my lips I haven’t felt in a while.
You looked good with blurry vision,
We took a cab back to my house, a stupid decision.
No feelings, just two bodies having fun,
Staring blankly at the ceiling after being done.
Cuddling, feeling loved, thinking you were the one,
Now alone so cold, feeling heat from the rising sun.
I had a feeling this would happen to me,
Careless women, no commitment, pink apathy.
